Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying.
(The Gospel of John 11:25)

I have not seen my sister’s grave,
Though via Zoom I saw the place

My heart still weeps in unbelief
 A twin cannot be replaced.

I want to sing with her again
 Enter into heaven’s space

I know I will in future time
 God’s promise cannot be erased

That hope causes me to smile
While tears run down my face

  1. Hi Jane,
Your book was such a blessing to a dear friend who suffered the loss of her daughter recently.
Thank you for allowing God to use the pain. May His comfort and grace fill your heart.
    Because He Lives,
    Donna

    1. Hi Donna,
Thank you so much for letting me know this. I prayed that God would use what I’ve gone through to bring comfort and encouragement to others.
I so appreciate your affirmation and support.

  2. How beautiful Jane. My heart is broken for you for having lost your other better half. My sister Karen died last Saturday right about this time of the day. The issue of distance was so distressing. I understand not “being there.” The last verse really spoke to me. The dichotomies of life are perplexing. And sometimes distressing. Thank our Lord for His many promises that help keep us moving ahead as we struggle to cope with the past and its impact. Love in Christ, Judy

    1. Dear Judy, your sister’s death is such a fresh sorrow. I am so sorry! My heart grieves for/with you. May the Holy Spirit give you peace and comfort, today and in the days ahead.
Thanks so much for your words of encouragement to me.
      Love, Jane
